ANDREY MALEF — ARTIST

Andrey Malef is a professional artist based in the United Kingdom. His artistic practice spans portraiture, figurative art, landscape and three-dimensional works, working across oil, charcoal, pastel, watercolour and acrylic.

Andrey studied at the Moscow State Stroganov Academy of Arts and Industry, where he developed a strong foundation in classical drawing and painting. His study of Old Master techniques and traditional Russian painting has influenced the technical precision and craftsmanship that remain central to his work.

Alongside traditional painting and drawing, Andrey has developed distinctive three-dimensional constructions and reliefs, transforming printed and painted surfaces into sculptural compositions. His work combines elements of realism with experimentation in form, structure and visual perception.

Portraiture is an important part of Andrey’s practice. Through both commissioned and independent works, he seeks not simply to reproduce a likeness, but to capture the character, presence and individuality of the person portrayed.
